Stargazing from a 600 year old Monument

The Cartuja de Cazalla monastery is situated in the most magnificent natural setting, surrounded by the Parque Natural Sierra Norte de Sevilla

This very scarcely populated natural region is considered to be the second best place in Spain for star gazing, after the Canary Islands, and one of the best quality skies in the world with virtually no light pollution and very good positioning. You can enjoy clean fresh spring water, fresh oxygenated air, mush silence and total darkness at night. This is a perfect destination for any astronomy fan or expert. The monastery is part of the Starlight Reserve - Declared “Starlight Reserve” by the Unesco in 2014.

“We collaborate with astronomy associations in Spain, namely the Seville Night Sky organization, in order to provide visiting groups a perfect experience. These experts bring their own telescopes and explain and guide our guests into the depths of astronomy science.”
